THE HISTORY OF THE M&M BY AYLA

Two cavemen were sitting around doing nothing when they suddenly saw a dark brown powder on the floor. One said to the other "why don't we try putting it in milk and mixing it so we can drink it?" It sounded like a good idea so that's what they did and after mixing the cocoa and milk in a pot for a long time they got tired and went into their caves to sleep. BUT.... they forgot to take the pot with them so it got left out and froze in the night. When they woke up the next morning they were very angry and wanted to throw the mixture out but then a cave girl from the village came up to them and started yelling at them for no apparent reason. They got so freaked out they they tried to run away but she caught them and started throwing coconuts at them. They got really angry and threw the pot with the defrosted milk and cocoa mixture at her. The pot broke in midair and just the chocolate flew into her mouth. Then an amazing thing happened: the girl smiled and swallowed the chocolate, she loved it! And tried to tell the cavemen how good it was but she couldn't because the huge bar of chocolate gut stuck in her throat !!!!! Luckily one of the cavemen immediately got it out of her throat and the girl told them that they should make more of the chocolate but this time to avoid the danger of big chocolate bars break it down into little bite sized balls. The cavemen followed her instructions and when they were done, before giving them to the other cave people, carved two Ms on each ball because their names were Marg and Murg.
And that is how we ended up having the M&Ms we eat and love today.

Youtubelandia

Here is a story that I made up. Enjoy! 

Once upon a time there was a land, but not the fairytale kind of land with castles , or an underwater land. This was a very different land, it's name was Youtubelandia.  From a distance , it looked liked any other city or country but when you looked a little closer paying attention to the details you could see that it wasn't. I have been to Youtubelandia and so I will share with you all that I saw and my experiences.  The houses there,were square and in the shape of computer screens. Inside the average house there were three types of rooms: the kitchen that was simply a wall with buttons ( later we will find out what they were for) , the bedrooms that were quite big with mattresses and pillows and the bathroom that was medium sized and had red beams that were for scanning ( we will find out more about these later) on the walls. But stranger than the buttons and scanners in their houses were the people inside them.  And they were the part of Youtubelandia that surprised me the most of all. Because they were shaped like boxes with keyboards on the bottom and arms and legs,inside each of these boxes there was a black space that; when the Youtubelandians talked would not speak words but would show videos. The people of Youtubelandia did not have names such as Sarah, Tom, Amy... but they had usernames like: princess_amy54 , Dragon slayer_ tom19, Sarahpinkfactory34. My Youtubelandian friend Vcfairygirl_isa for example instead of saying "i'm happy" would show on her screen a video of a rainbow or of  happy person and by doing so would express her feelings. Her mother cakey_30 who I also met would not say "Thats wonderful darling" but would comment on her daughters video using the keyboard. You may be wondering how I know all of this so here is the story of how I stumbled upon Youtubelandia.

It was a sunny morning in New York and I decided to take a walk in Central Park. I had just gotten a chocolate drink from Starbucks and a book and was looking forward to devouring both of them; when a little girl told me to come with her. At first I resisted but in the end I decided I should go with her and see whatever she wanted to show me so that i could get on with my day.  She brought me to a bench at the far end of the park where she told me to close my eyes, I obeyed and then she asked me to hold her hand and walk forward. I did that and found myself walking into a tree! I fainted and when I woke up I saw that I was on some kind of street. I looked up to find myself in front of Youtubelandia. I will be forever thankful to that girl in the park and in fact she is sitting in the room next me right now,plugging her self in to the wall in the kitchen and pressing the button that says ideas on it. While I'm typing this in a large room with a mattress and pillow smiling ,proud of myself for having been able to recount all that has happened to me in the past few months. By the way the scanner in the bathroom would scan the Youtubelandians for bad content and take it away.

I hope that someday all of you reading this will be able to see Youtubelandia for yourselves but for now I hope you liked my story!

Yo!

I got back from NY on wednesday. My party was so great and thank you for the presents everyone ( Thx for the mag grandma you were right there was a Selena Gomez Article in there!) anyway Chicago was so much fun and i got a surprise in my hotel room ( comment if you want to know more about it) :) And JHO was so much fun and you couldn't even tell that the elevator in it was going so fast but you got to the top floor in like 3 seconds! I have worn all my David and Goliath shirts and have already finished reading a book a got. Anyway today went on a field trip so we did very little work. Except for showing the teacher our homework and i can't believe that i forgot my homework at home even though i had done it and so the teacher didn't believe me urrrgggggghhhh annoying :(

here  are the crazy facts about the John Hancock Observatory that i found on google:

1. It takes 2 men 40 hours to change every light bulb on the 99th floor
2. Omelet king Howard Helmer - the worlds fastest omelet chef- whips up his quickest dish in 4o seconds. With the nations fastest elevators you'll arrive at the top floor of the John Hancock Center ( aka the observatory from which you can even see other states) in 39 seconds while he's still cooking! :)
3. The hero of the movie Iron Man may be able to fly to the observatory but birds stop at 500 ft . So don't expect to see one eye to eye up here!
4. If you melted all the metal in the John Hancock Center you could make 96 tour buses!
5. There are 1632 steps from the main lobby to the observatory on level 94. You would have to walk up or down Michigan Avenue Plaza over 58 times for the equivalent walk!
6. During the 36 month construction period,some 5 nillion man-hours where required to complete the center.
   

Pretty amazing huh? There are more facts but my hands are tired now :)

Chicago

This year for my birthday i'm going to Chicago. I'm so exited....i'm going to stay at the W hotel and go to a building that's really high and to get up to the top you take the fastest elevator in the world that goes up to the top in only 39 seconds.....that place is the John Hancock Observatory.

Another thing i'm going to do is see Hannah Montana The Movie :) ! !! And also go to the theatre....and to really cool malls! Oh yea oh yea aha oh yea aha......( for everyone who does not know what that was and who may think i'm crazy....... you are mistaken......that....is.... my....happy song.) Moving on...... I will be posting some crazy quick facts about the JHO ( JOHN HANCOCK OBSERVATORY)

Vacation!!!

Hellloooooooooooo it's vacation time peeps!!!!!! wohohhohohohohohohoho ...... I'm going to ny for my birthday and also to Chicago. Oh and I haven' been able to post in a while because i've been busy with my dance routine for school ( see previous post) and stuff but keep reading because i'm going to add new polls and gadgets to my page.. thx .

Sorry i haven't posted in a while... anyway here is an update:

• I became the choreographer for my school show ( i make up the dance steps and teach them to 7 other kids!)
• I got a fun homework assignment for the first time in............a long time!
• My sister learned not to barge into my room every 5 seconds! :)
• I have added a few songs to my list of favorite songs ( it's still in the making so i haven't posted it yet)
• I'm beginning to think that Selena Gomez desperately hopes to meet me too and all this time that we haven't met she's been recording an album dedicated to me!
• I think i have to much imagination!

omg.....i'm so exited for my dance show this friday! It's jazz and modern dance and it's a lot of fun ( jazz is more fun than modern but modern is pretty ok!!!!) I'll post in a few days to tell you how it went not that i think that its gonna go badly its just i have nightmares about messing up which isn't weird or isn't it who knows now i'm actually pretty sure it is .... anyway as you can see when i'm exited i don't use much punctuation and i talk way to much so i should find someone else to talk to before i bore you to death.........

Some of you who are reading my blog probably watch disney channel or at least have seen a few of the shows that are always on there. I like watching it especially when certain shows that i like are on...... the ones i like the most are:

there are also others I like too.... anyway i wanted to let you all know that if you watch the wizards of waverly place episodes every night at 7:40 (Rome time) you will see a pasword that appears on the screen during the show if you go to the disney site you can put the password in and get cool widgets for your computer.......it's fun:) !!!!!!

I know i haven't posted in a while.....I got all caught up in my vacation bla bla bla! Anyway I had the best time ever. Dubai was sooooooo much fun,we went to the beach,swam in the pool went to many many many malls and bought some really cool stuff plus we got to watch a movie in the car because we were driving around so much. :) I also caught up on lots of news and gossip with the friend i stayed with.Then we came back to turkey and so far we've been to a friends house for the day and had a lot of fun!

Cesme

hi everyone
In the summers, since i was born I have always gone to Cesme here is abit about it....( everything i will write is going to be stuff i know not stuff that i got from the net )
Cesme ( chesme ) is mostly a place that people go to in the summer but there are people that live there all year long. It is in Izmir,Turkey. There are many beaches there and i don't know what happens to them during the winter but I do know that usually in the summertime many are crowded though some aren't. Cesme is very fun to visit during the summer. I have many friends there that i see every year. The sea is pretty clean and nice ( but I never swim in it because i am scared of jellyfish which are sometimes there but usually not). Every summer it rains for like five minutes but other than that it is always really sunny. Another weird thing about Cesme that we learned the hard way is that every friday just when everyone is sitting down to eat dinner outside on the porch big tanks filled with toxic bug spray start go all around Cesme spraying it all over the place and when that happens everyone runs inside the house grabbing as many things as they can from the table....I always thought it was hilarious! hehe :) :) If you have never been then you should definitely go!

Selena Gomez

Selena is my fave famous person. She is an american actress who grew up in Texas her parents are spanish and italian. She is most famous for playing Alex Russo in Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place. Other roles she has played are: the main character in Another Cinderella Story, one of the kids on Barney,small character in Walker Texas Ranger...... she had black hair and is 16 years old. Her best friend is Demi Lovato. There has been some gossip about Selena'Internet feud with Miley and there definitely was a feud but now both of them say that they have made up .......
she is very talented despite what my mom says! :)

It turns out i'm not going to turkey as a U.M anymore but i'm going with mom and Ceylan on monday instead............that isn't so bad actually because we never stay in rome when we are on vacation. I'm also exited to go to turkey and I am getting kinda inpatient.....! We might actually go on saturday!!!!! But probably not because we have to make sure Ceylan is feeling totally better.....!

I just found out that my sister has a fever! And today is the day we were supposed to go to turkey!!! :( :( :( Another bad thing about is that now I have no way of getting to school since mom has to stay at home with ceylan....... actually I would not mind missing a day of school but I can't miss another day of swimming at my school or they will get angry!!!!

The Giver

A while ago I started to read The Giver. At first because of the cover of the book I thought it was going to be boring but then I kept reading and loved It. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good book to read! It is about a civilization where all the people have very strict rules to follow and rituals. For example in the morning every family had a dream telling where everyone had to tell about their dreams and at night everyone told about a feeling they had had that day.The people living there did not know about the things we do : war,love,grandparents,colors..... only one person in the whole community knew about these things,his name was The giver. The reason it was only him was so that all of the memories of those things would not bared by the community so that they would not feel the pain of the hard times that were in the memories! But one boy named jonas got picked to be the new giver and to receive the memories that the old giver would give him.And he decides to change life in the community for ever!

THE CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL:
Is very intelligent and learns tricks in just a day! It is also very social and does badly if left alone for a long time. And is one of the friendliest dogs! The reason for its name is that Charles I got one for his kids to play with in the castel and named that way!
